Momma Style: With Noir and Lace

Today I woke up to snow on the ground.  Yes, SNOW!  I am never a fan of snow in March because in my opinion March equates to Spring and Spring doesn't not (or at least should not) encompass snow.  So, on went the warm tights.  I was going to wear a gray dress to fit my mood after realizing how cold it was outside but, I decided to wear my new dress from Modcloth.  I bought this for my sister-in-law's baby shower that is coming up in early April but, I felt it was just the right amount of bright color to enhance my crabby morning mood.

The details on this dress amaze me.  I think there are like 4 different types of lace and the little buttons up the front are adorable.  I paired them with my ever-so-pretty heeled oxfords.  These shoes are actually comfy despite not looking like it.  And of course, I do not look even remotely pregnant in this dress!

Cardigan: Thrifted
Dress: Modcloth
Fleur de Lys necklace: gift from my mom
Tights: Target
Oxfords: I can't remember but I think Rampage

The lace dress is adorable, it looks like of the dainty Edwardian dresses that people have been so mad for lately!

I love it! You look like a little vintage antique doll or something in that lace dress-its beautiful! You say you can't pull off my rock looks, well i know certainly I would look foolish attempting this look which I would Love to do, but not look a fool! We'll live vicariously thru one another deal? OK deal!

This is a beautiful dress! I love lace for spring. I agree with your modcloth maternity idea too! That's an untapped market for them! :)

Thanks Sydney! I would kill for cool maternity wear. I am sure other pregnant women would agree!
